Currently, in Asian countries such as Taiwan, it is normal for kids to receive extra care after school, where they can be exposed to resources such as learning conversational English. According to research done at Tzu Chi University, the researcher found that in Hualien Middle School, located in rural Taiwan, higher language acquisition was achieved in more “complete” households and the higher the family income (Huang). Therefore, the primary objective of this service is to help balance out the resources provided to these kids and increase their English proficiency.
